Morten Wiencke
Morten joined the World Wide Wind team as Advisor in 2023.
Before joining the wind industry, Morten led the Innovation and Technology Partnership team in GE Oil & Gas with a global responsibility for initiating technology collaboration agreements with key operators and also led the Advanced Technology team in GE Norway, executing technology development programs for next generation subsea systems, subsea boosting and processing. Before GE, Morten led the DEMO 2000 program for technology demonstration and qualification in the offshore oil & gas industry.
Morten was Vice President of Research and Development in Saga Petroleum until 1999, managing an R&D portfolio and university partnerships across all upstream oil & gas disciplines. He served on the board of directors in SINTEF Energy Research, several start-up companies and was appointed by the U.S. Energy Secretary to serve on the Ultra-Deepwater Advisory Committee (UDAC) governing the RPSEA program 2007-2010.
Morten holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering Physics from NTNU, the Norwegian Technical University.
