Through the ONS Best Stand Awards, ONS recognises exhibitors that stand out. There are two awards in this category, one for exhibition stands larger than 50 sq. m., and one for those smaller than 50 sq. m. The jury nominates five exhibitors in each category before the final announcement of the winners.

On Wednesday the 28th of August ONS announced the finalists for the Best Stand Award at ONS 2024. World Wide Wind was amongst the 5 nominated in their category for "Stand booths larger than 50 sq.m" - the largest stands on the exhibition.
The World Wide Wind Stand
The abbreviation www takes on a new meaning when you visit the World Wide Wind stand. This start-up company has a 6-metre model of a prototype wind turbine with two rotors that going separate directions.
The model immediately catches the eye and interest on a white and open stand. The attentive and committed stand personnel are quick to engage in talks about the company's ambitious plans to revolutionise floating offshore wind. - ONS FOUNDATION
Aker BP
Amongst the other four nominees was Aker BP with pink t-shirts and industrial material choices, they sought attention as self-proclaimed rebels in action. Playing with this year's ONS theme Imagine in a slightly provocative way with the message "We don’t imagine. We act!»
Lyse
Lyse was noted for the huge battery in the middle of their stand, illustrating the essence of the advantages of hydropower in an intuitive and efficient way. The stand also includes mountains and waterfalls and demonstrates how upgraded hydropower plants give more power by pumping water back up to the reservoir when there is a surplus of energy in the market, and stored for scarcer times.
Petoro
Petoro tries to find creative solutions to challenges in the offshore business, even if “it’s complicated”, as they state on the wall of their stand. They draw a playful parallel to the folk tale about Askeladden's demanding journey towards Soria Moria with an interpretation of Th. Kittelsen's famous painting as the focal point. This metaphor underlines Petoro’s approach to the green transition.
Sval
Sval energy is a young energy company that appears at ONS as both fresh and informal. When you walk through the giant pink door you are warmly welcomed by knowledgeable and dedicated staff. It is a homely and colourful universe they invite you into, furnished with Sval’s office furniture.The company highlights that future opportunities are knocking. Visitors are welcomed to imagine the next steps forward.
